QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years old, high school diploma, have had experience with children, be adaptable, organized and independent. Must be proficient in communication (verbal and written). Have basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook email, keyboarding). Be sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of individuals and families. This job involves a large amount of driving and requires a reliable vehicle, full car insurance of 100/300 liability and 50,000 property damage. Agency vehicles are available but not guaranteed.
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time or fulltime
REPORTS TO: Foster Care Supervisor
Summary: Transports children and monitors visits
Duties for direct Services
Provide transportation of children and adults as directed by Foster Care Supervisor
Supervise parent-child and sibling visits as directed by Foster Care Supervisor
Staff cases with the clients’ Foster Care Worker and Foster Care Supervisor
Communicate with caseworkers, children, parents and/or foster parents regarding appointments, visits, or other information.
Indirect Services
Submit visitation records to the caseworker on a weekly basis.
Check voice mail and email on working days and return messages in an appropriate time frame.
Comply with rules and protocol established for the position.
Attend agency meetings, trainings, and events as directed by the Foster Care Supervisor
Actively participate in YSBIV’s continuous Quality Improvement program
