Forklift Driver - Epping, Cape Town

Overall Responsibility: To operate the forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency

Focus Area 1

Forklift Driver

Adhere to production schedules

Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items.   

Keep track of the location of goods

Move goods from one location to another

Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency

Picking and wrapping orders for shipment

Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards

Focus Area 2

Health and Safety

Perform inspections on the forklift

Perform routine maintenance on the forklift

Ensure proper health and safety regulations are followed

Requirements of the Role

Matric qualification or equivalent

A minimum of 2 years’ forklift operator experience

Valid certification to operate a forklift

Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

Excellent physical condition and coordination

Preferred Skills/Competencies

Ability to follow proper safety procedures

Ability to work independently

Ability to maintain a safe working area

Knowledge of heavy machinery

Great organizational skills
