Firma Concrete is looking for an experienced and motivated Foreman Carpenter to join our growing team. This leadership role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily field operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and professionally on site.
This position includes a company truck and offers long term opportunities with large civil, commercial, and concrete projects across the Edmonton region.
Compensation:
• $47.50 per hour
• Company truck provided
• Full time seasonal position with strong long term opportunity
• Overtime available depending on project requirements
Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise carpenters, labourers, and subcontractors on site
• Coordinate daily construction activities and manpower
• Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Plan material, equipment, and manpower requirements
• Complete daily reports and communicate project updates to management
• Enforce company safety policies and site procedures
• Assist with layout, forming, concrete operations, and scheduling coordination
• Mentor and train junior workers and apprentices
Requirements:
• Journeyman Carpenter certification preferred
• Previous foreman or leadership experience required
• Experience in concrete formwork, civil, or commercial construction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead crews in fast paced environments
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract preferred
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Ground Disturbance considered an asset
