FOOD SERVICE PREP/SERVER/CASHIER
THIS IS AN AT WILL POSITION
REPORTS TO CAFETERIA MANAGER
Summary of position:
Provide friendly, responsive service in a clean and safe environment that all our students, customers and coworkers enjoy!
Essential Functions:
Understand and comply with all policies, procedures, standards, specifications guidelines, directives, assignments, and training programs.
Assist the cook in preparation of meals as per recipes, production records, and manager instruction.
Prep meals, salads, grab and go trays, cutting fruit, vegetables etc.
Keep a clean and safe work area including equipment, utensils, pots, and pans.
Be ready and willing to assist coworkers as situations arise.
Assist cafeteria staff with putting away deliveries in a safe manner, rotating stock, using FIFO, properly dating products, sweeping, and mopping floors, remove trash from kitchen hallways, ramadas, dining room and as needed.
Cashier duties as needed
Assist with the preparation of Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack.
Transport meals, supplies etc. to satellite kitchen.
Serve Preschool, K-6th grade at Satellite kitchen in the allowable time.
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion of all interviews, background check, drug testing and fingerprint requirements.
Submission of all employee related documents, and forms free of false, misleading and/or incomplete information.
Sensitivity and respect for people of various backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and socio-economic situations
Have basic cooking and cleaning skills.
Be able to work in a standing position for up to eight hours a day.
Hair must be styled in a way that it is restrained and away from the face, fingernails must be short and trimmed, and artificial nails are allowed while working but must be short and trimmed.
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds.
Know basic math skills.
Must always wear skid proof shoes in kitchen.
Must have food handler’s card.
