Food Nutrition Service Assistant - 1st and 2nd shifts

Description:
Assists in food serving and preparation in accordance with PPD Clinic, FDA, and Health Department standard practices and procedures. Puts away deliveries according to department’s operating procedures. Maintains cleanliness of dining and work areas including refrigerated/non-refrigerated storage areas and equipment.

Qualifications:
• High / Secondary School diploma required
• Food Handler’s Certificate Preferred
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0- 1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and oral English instructions Basic math skills Time management skills Ability to operate electric kitchen equipment, cooking utensils, and gadgets Ability to accommodate sudden schedule changes to meet protocol expectations Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Shifts:
We need 5 first shift and 5 second shift workers for this 2 month assignment.

Tasks: - Food/Nutrition Service Assistant (FNS) will be serving trays to healthy subject volunteers in the dining area ensuring the correct diet is going to the correct subject (multiple clinical trials are occurring at the same time and each protocol has its own dietary restrictions) during the time frames indicated per protocol requirements. - FNS will need to update the clipboards (subject ate meal/snack, refused to eat, etc) following proper documentation procedures required by the varies protocols.. - FNS also provides support in the kitchen by washing dishes, prep-ing, etc
