Join a respected 400+ bed acute care facility in Gainesville, FL, known for clinical excellence and comprehensive services across cardiovascular, oncology, orthopedics, and medical-surgical care. As part of the Float Pool team, you’ll work in a high-demand environment supporting multiple med-surg units while benefiting from top-tier compensation and growth opportunities.
Pay / Compensation:
• Flat Hourly Rate: $43.00/hr (regardless of experience)
• Shift Differentials:
• +$4.25/hr for Nights
• +$3.00/hr for Weekends
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
• 401(k) Match: 100% on 3%–9% of pay
Schedule / Shifts:
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating Weekends Required
We are seeking a highly adaptable Float Pool RN to deliver compassionate and competent nursing care across multiple Medical-Surgical units. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, adjusts easily to changing patient needs, and works effectively across diverse care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care across multiple med-surg units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Adapt quickly to different units’ workflows, protocols, and patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Serve as an advocate for patients and their families
Required:
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care med-surg RN experience
• Comfortable floating across multiple inpatient units
• Active Florida RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• AHCA Level 2 background screening & fingerprinting required
• Florida RN license application required for candidates with compact license and 3+ years of experience
Preferred:
• Flexible, dependable, and strong clinical decision-making skills
• Must live within 60 minutes of the Gainesville facility
• In-person interview required (including shadowing, tour, and administrative interview)
• Comfortable working with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
