POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Fleet Support and Telematics representative, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding support to our clients in the United States and Latin America on our Global Business Services (GBS) team based in Colombia. A Telematics Asset Protection role typically involves responsibilities centered around safeguarding assets through the use of telematics technology, data analysis, and proactive security measures. Below are common job duties associated with this role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Asset Tracking and Monitoring:
Use telematics systems to track the location and status of company vehicles.
Monitor telematics data for signs of potential theft, misuse, or anomalies.
Ensure that all tracked vehicles are functioning properly and are accounted for.
2. Risk Assessment and Prevention
Analyze telematics data to identify patterns that could indicate security risks.
Conduct regular audits of telematics systems and asset inventories.
3. Incident Response
Respond promptly to alerts or notifications of potential vehicle theft.
Coordinate with branches and internal teams in case of asset theft or tampering.
Prepare incident reports and document findings for review to give to branches to file police reports with the local agencies.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
Review and interpret telematics data to optimize asset utilization and security measures.
Generate reports for management, detailing trends, incidents, and recommendations for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of asset locations, conditions, and any incidents.
5. System Management and Maintenance
Work with Fleet and Branches to maintain telematics hardware and software for optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the various telematics systems.
Stay updated on new technologies and implement upgrades or enhancements to improve protection measures.
6. Compliance and Training
Train employees and stakeholders on telematics tools, security protocols, and best practices.
Maintain awareness trends related to telematics and asset protection.
7. Collaboration
Work closely with branches, fleet management, and TECH teams to ensure integrated telematics solutions.
Act as a liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholders regarding telematics services and systems.
Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed performance targets including response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction scores. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
REPORTS TO:
Remotely: To the VGM Fleet Support & Telematics Team within the GBS Structure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of asset management and security principles.
Ability to interpret and act on telematics data.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Language Proficiency: Exceptional Fluency (Speaking and Writing) in Spanish and English is required. Additional languages are advantageous (Urdu,Russian, Arab, Hindi, Portuguese, Chinese-Mandarin, Italian)
Technical Skills: Proficiency with telematics systems and related software with strong ability to use Google sheets and docs
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in customer service or related fields is advantageous.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones across the United States and Latin America.
Location: Colombia resident, Bogota.
SALARY :
Between 4 and 5 million Colombian pesos depending on experience
