Job Description

Are you passionate about solving business problems through data, strategy, and client collaboration? Merchants Fleet is seeking a Fleet Consultant to join our growing consulting and analytics team. In this role, you’ll partner with clients to identify opportunities for fleet optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency while helping shape innovative solutions and reporting capabilities across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in FP&A, financial analysis, consulting, business analytics, or corporate strategy who enjoys turning data into actionable business insights.

Salary: approximately $95,000, dependent on qualifications and experience

What You’ll Do

• Partner with clients to analyze fleet operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic objectives

• Conduct fleet business reviews, portfolio analyses, and custom reporting to deliver data-driven recommendations

• Build and present insights and solutions to client fleet management teams and business leaders

• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools using PowerBI and other analytics platforms

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Experience, Operations, Technology, and other internal teams to support consulting initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

• Support enhancements to Merchants’ client technology platform, TotalView, including reporting and analytics capabilities

• Manage client relationships and special projects from analysis through implementation

• Translate complex data into practical business recommendations and executive-level presentations

• Contribute innovative ideas and process improvements to support the evolution of Merchants’ consulting services and solutions

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, Economics, or related field required

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, consulting, business analytics, corporate strategy, or related fields

• Experience working with large data sets, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms

• Experience with PowerBI, SQL, or advanced analytics tools preferred

Skills & Strengths:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to turn data into actionable insights

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data visualization skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Strong presentation and relationship-building skills

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

• Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset

• Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

• Ability to travel up to 25%
