Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Fitter/Welder will be responsible for but not limited to:

Read and follow detailed written instructions and fabrication drawings.

Perform accurate measurements and calculations using feet, inches, and fractions.

Successfully pass a 1-inch thick 2-G welder qualification.

Pass a tack welder qualification (visual macro break test).

Operate carbon air-arc equipment for back gouging processes.

Ensure safe work practices are adhered to, and appropriate PPE is worn at all times.

Mentors apprentices and junior fitters by sharing knowledge and safe work practices.

Chesnee Fabrication Facility

1st Shift

Monday to Friday

Position Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of Fitting/Welding structural steel experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Ability to operate overhead cranes.

Current or past AWS certification for FCAW, MCAW.

Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.

A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within

         a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.

Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.

Communication skills – both written and oral.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
