Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst III

Location: Kennett Square, PA (The preferred location is Kennett Square, PA, however Baltimore, MD and Warrenville IL are also possible.)

Duration: 9 Months

Job Description:

Performs activities relating to planning, designing, building, maintaining, and operating the firewalls associated with Exelon Nuclear’s secure network infrastructure across the Nuclear fleet, along with required processes and procedures to ensure cyber security compliance for Nuclear..  The preferred location for this position is the Exelon Nuclear Facility in Kennett Square, PA, however Baltimore, MD and Warrenville IL are also possible..

Duties: Support daily operation activities for Nuclear Firewalls:

• Engineer firewall rules

• Refreshing CheckPoint Gaia & Cisco ASA firewalls

• Perform OS upgrades

• Leveraging Tufin and other tools for firewall administration and management

• Implement firewall rules per Exelon’s Management Model process

• Perform password changes

• Perform firewall backups

• Assist in design and implementation of a long term firewall log storage solution

• Troubleshoot firewall related connectivity issues

• Provide technical consultation to Exelon staff and business users on rule requests

• Perform other duties as assigned by Exelon Project Manager.

• Upgrade/enhance existing documentation

• Maintain firewall asset information

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline and typically 7 to 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Experience in configuring and managing Checkpoint and Cisco firewalls and other network equipment with a detailed understanding of security configurations.

• Experience and developing and evaluating firewall rule requests

• Very Knowledgeable with Local Area Network (LAN) Technology and family of Ethernet and VPN, IPSec, and L3 Firewalls.

• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to work independently and work effectively with customers by e-mail, instant messaging (IM), phone and in-person.

• Must be able to acquire and maintain all required Nuclear background investigations

Preferred:

• Network related certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Security related certification(

• Solid experience evaluating security technologies and solutions in support of the acquisition and deployment of security software, systems, and services.

• Ability to work with all staffing departments to assimilate technical guidance and incorporate it into plans and procedures

• Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, technical knowledge, and practical application of cyber and information security principles to business leaders and technical staff.

• Experience communicating with all levels of staff, including senior management and project teams.

• Wireshark experience

• Sharepoint experience
