Job Description
The Fire Alarm Sales Specialist is responsible for driving growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing commercial customers. This role focuses on delivering end-to-end fire alarm solutions, including new system installations, expansions, upgrades, and complex repairs.
You will operate as a trusted advisor, helping customers navigate code requirements while providing compliant, effective life safety solutions. This role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to close and ongoing account development.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new commercial business opportunities
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
Lead full sales cycle from prospecting to close
Develop fire alarm solutions (new systems, upgrades, repairs)
Prepare accurate and professional proposals
Build strong customer relationships and grow accounts
Act as liaison between customers and internal teams
Monitor bid/tender platforms for opportunities
Ensure solutions meet applicable codes and standards
Collaborate across departments for cross-selling
Maintain CRM data and documentation
Report pipeline and forecasts to Branch Director
Qualifications:
Proven B2B sales experience (fire alarm or related industry preferred)
Strong understanding of fire alarm systems
Knowledge of fire/building codes (ULC, NFPA, AHJ requirements)
Experience with CRM and pipeline management
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivated with high ownership mindset
Proficient in computer systems and applications
