Current Open Positions: 1
The Finisher position reporting to the Lead Hand in Finishing will be responsible for the following.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform sanding & trimming of various parts as per the order instructions
Visually detect surface imperfections on parts
Package & clean parts as required
Maintain focus while performing repetitive-type sanding tasks
May move containers to the shipping area, and move lumber, paper, and other wrapping supplies to the crating area, using a hand or industrial truck
Assist Shipping and Receiving to ensure goods are packaged correctly
Must be able to react to change productively and to undertake other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Grade 12
Fork Truck Experience is an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to work independently
Requires good housekeeping skills
Ability to use small hand tools
Knowledge of power tools
Basic reading of technical drawings
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. This employee is also required to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 Lbs. without assistance, crouching, bending and reaching with hands and arms. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
