The Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts serve the citizens of Fulton County by maintaining and providing access to court and public records and by supporting court operations across Superior and Magistrate Courts. Position Summary
The purpose of this classification is to perform duties related to ensuring compliance by users of an assigned area within the County's financial system. Responsibilities include supervising assigned staff, monitoring and controlling system use, and serving as a liaison between the Finance Department and financial system users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors and controls financial system use and ensures system user compliance with policies and procedures develops, establishes and monitors quality control procedures related to financial system use; performs system testing of software upgrades and documents test result; and communicates system problems as necessary.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff: makes hiring or termination decisions/recommendations; establishes workloads and prioritizes work assignments; develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control; compiles and reviews timesheets; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; assists with or completes employee performance appraisals; directs work; acts as a liaison between employees and management; and trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures.
Manages daily funding of bank accounts and concentrates and invests excess cash to minimize non-interest bearing cash deposits as required.
Serves as a financial analyst and generates reports for decision-makers: compiles information using the AMS Financial, GHS upon request of management and various departments; analyzes financial trends and the impact of proposed legislation and policies.
Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures receives and reviews various documentation, including bank statements, end-user documents and system generated reports; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation, including performance appraisals, financial reports, journal entries, Fixed Asset reports, schedules, budgets, and special request reports; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.
Supervises accounting, customer service, evaluation, and internal audit processes.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Public Administration, or a related field, supplemented by
3 years of experience in Accounting, Budgeting, and/or Finance
Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; the ability to calculate decimals and percentages; the ability to utilize principles of fractions; and the ability to interpret graphs.
Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of influence systems, such as motivation, incentive, and leadership, and to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and principles for developing approaches and techniques to resolve problems.
