About The Role
The Finance Manager will support the Financial Controller in overseeing the company’s financial reporting, month-end close, and finance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening finance processes, and managing a team of accountants across multiple entities.
The role requires strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience in financial close and audit processes, and the ability to manage operational finance activities in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You Will Do
• Lead the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all group financial statements are accurate and delivered on schedule.
• Guarantee strict adherence to IFRS/FRS accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory reporting requirements across all entities.
• Act as the primary liaison for external audits, managing the preparation of technical accounting analyses and ensuring the timely resolution of audit queries.
• Partner with Tax and Compliance teams to deliver accurate data for MAS submissions, transfer pricing documentation, and annual tax filings.
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a culture of high performance through rigorous review of work and professional development.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and standardizing workflows to optimize closing timelines and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to strengthen financial data pipelines and ensure the accuracy of revenue and cost recognition.
• Support the Financial Controller on ad-hoc projects, variance analysis, and financial insights to guide leadership in strategic decision-making.
What We Are Looking For
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting, ideally with a background in Big 4 audit or a high-growth FinTech/Tech environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification (CA, CPA, or ACCA) is highly preferred.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS / FRS accounting standards, with a proven track record of leading month-end closures and managing complex external audits.
• Prior exposure to payment infrastructure, FinTech platforms, or Blockchain/Web3 ecosystems is a significant advantage.
• High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for complex financial data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on data integrity and the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering.
