Search Capital is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a 9-month maternity cover contract, with potential extension to 12 months. As a fast-growing, international group operating across Europe and the USA, we provide shared services and strategic support to our portfolio businesses.
You are organised, proactive and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels? You enjoy working with numbers and improving processes? Then join us as Finance Officer (m/f/d) and support the financial operations of our growing group.
Your Responsibilities
Processing weekly/monthly contractor timesheets and sales and purchase invoices using Xero and Excel
Acting as first point of contact for payment and timesheet queries
Managing intercompany recharges and overseeing Accounts Payable across multiple entities
Conducting multi-currency bank reconciliations (GBP, USD, EUR, CHF)
Managing supplier payments, expenses and credit cards via Payhawk
Supporting monthly and quarterly management accounts
Preparing quarterly VAT returns
Creating and maintaining Excel reports (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
Assisting with year-end audits and improving finance processes

Your Profile
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with Xero or comparable software
Strong Excel skill
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA preferred but not essential
