Position Available
Role Title: Financial Controller
Location: Sudbury
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, evenings and weekends as needed
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the accounting team with a dynamic leadership style that fosters trust, accountability, and productivity
Review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and general ledger journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance
Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and uphold financial policies and procedures
Prepare and present clear, comprehensive financial updates to senior management through analysis and reporting of key financial data
Coordinate the organization’s financial operations and budgeting activities to optimize overall financial performance
Identify, assess, and investigate compliance and regulatory issues, recommending corrective actions as needed
Support management with strategic initiatives, planning, and execution
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting
CPA designation considered an asset
2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in financial management
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, prepare reports, and provide actionable insights
Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks or similar financial systems
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Experience in identifying and resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial audits
Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate financial operations, and support strategic business initiatives
Valid Driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 annually
