The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Financial Controller who pairs strong technical finance skills with a start-up mindset. You’ll lead a small team, run day-to-day finance operations, and jump in wherever needed to solve problems, organize processes, and keep things moving.

What You’ll Do

Finance Operations & Leadership

Lead and mentor two accountants managing payables, receivables, and the GL across our two entities in Egypt & Dubai.

Oversee daily operations including payments, collections, reconciliations, & compliance.

Maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and SOPs.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

Drive annual budgeting and rolling forecasts across departments.

Timely delivery of monthly mgmt reports (P&L, BS, CF).

Analyze variances and work with department heads to stay on budget.

Lead group-level reporting and multi-entity consolidation.

Profitability & Performance

Build visibility into client, project, and department profitability.

Improve cost allocation & time tracking.

Lead regular budget review meetings to promote financial accountability.

Contribute to pricing and costing improvements across the agency.

Systems, Processes & Getting Things Done

Streamline workflows to reduce manual work and improve data accuracy.

Lead the implementation and optimization of finance tools.

Jump in to solve problems, organize processes, or support internal projects.

Be the person who makes things happen, bridging finance, operations, and people to keep Tribe X moving forward.

Compliance & External Relations

Manage statutory filings, audits, and tax compliance in Egypt and the UAE.

Ensure all processes meet local regulations and internal policies.

Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisers, etc.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

5 - 8 years’ experience in finance, including 2+ years in a Controller or similar role.

Strong technical accounting knowledge (local GAAP in Egypt & UAE).

Excellent Excel and reporting skills.

Hands-on, practical, resourceful, and able to think both in detail and strategically.

Energetic, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Fluent in English 

Nice-to-Haves

Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc.)

Proficiency with Xero.

Timely, accurate reporting (by the 15th each month) presented in a clear, actionable format including next best action recommendations.

Seamless day-to-day finance operations (accurate invoicing, smooth payment runs, timely & complete tax returns, full financial & accounting compliance, etc.).

Effective revenue collection with DSO target < 50 days.

Trusted partner to department heads, providing insight and proactive support.

Active role in project budgeting, contributing to our 50% gross profit margin target.
