Role Overview
The Financial Controller will lead the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting function in a high-velocity fintech environment. You will ensure the integrity of our financials, manage audits with precision, and act as a trusted business partner who translates complex financial data into actionable insights that drive commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Process Management & Standardization (SOPs)
Lead the review, optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement of end-to-end financial and cross-functional processes, including procurement-to-pay, order-to-cash, contract approval workflows, and other key business cycles.
Ensure effective rollout and consistent execution of financial policies and SOPs across all business units, balancing strong compliance and internal control with operational agility and efficiency.
Channel Cost Control & Business Partnering
Act as a strategic business partner by embedding deeply into frontline operations to build and maintain robust cost monitoring models for key channel expenses (e.g., traffic acquisition, rebates, commissions, and marketing expenses).
Deliver regular insightful business performance reports, conduct multi-dimensional variance analysis on profitability, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize ROI and drive sustainable margin improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Own the full-cycle annual budgeting process and lead the preparation of quarterly and monthly rolling forecasts aligned with business dynamics.
Establish effective budget monitoring and early-warning mechanisms, perform timely variance analysis, and collaborate with business teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Financial Risk & Internal Control
Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial risk matrix covering contract, liquidity, credit, and compliance risks; conduct regular risk assessments and gap remediation.
Clearly define financial responsibilities across business processes and establish closed-loop mechanisms for risk tracking, accountability, and resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
5-8 years of accounting experience, with experience serving as a Financial Controller or related position
Proven track record managing successful auditing events and implementing strong internal controls.
Demonstrated ability to “connect with the business” – you translate financial data into strategic recommendations,
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with US GAAP is a strong plus.
Experience in payment processing, merchant acquiring, or digital wallet companies.
Leadership role within fintech, payments, SaaS, or high-growth technology
