Now, we’re looking for a Financial Controller to join the Finance department.

What you will do

As a Financial Controller, you play a key role in further professionalizing and automating our financial processes and controls. Innovation is at the heart of this position, with a strong focus on AI-driven improvements.

This role combines recurring responsibilities with project-based work, offering both structure and variety. Your responsibilities include performing financial analyses during month-end and year-end closings; applying and implementing IFRS and Dutch GAAP standards; preparing internal and external financial reports that go beyond statutory financial statements; and coordinating audits conducted by external auditors, both domestically and internationally.

You will be part of an international organization in which Finance is centrally organized, supporting multiple business units across various countries. In this role, you collaborate closely with different finance disciplines as well as business and corporate functions, giving you broad exposure and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.

In your first 12 months, you will:

• Get to know CM.com, our people, culture, and business model.

• Work on core financial controlling activities, our financial control framework, reporting, and audit coordination.

• Work closely with your team members and other finance, corporate, and business teams.

• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls using AI, automation, and smart tooling.

• Make decisions with confidence, test ideas, and continuously learn from both successes and setbacks.

• Actively contribute to shaping and further defining this role as the organization continues to grow and evolve.

• Success in this role is measured by impact, not by perfect plans, but by meaningful progress and continuous improvement.

That’s why you ideally have

• A Master’s degree in Accountancy or Finance; RA/CPA qualification is a plus.

• Several years of big 4 experience and a background in Accountancy.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Dutch GAAP and IFRS, and experience with audits; advanced Excel skills and affinity with BI tools are a plus.

• A proactive, analytical and hands-on mindset; you take ownership, work accurately and are able to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.

• A strong interest in automation and AI; you are AI-savvy or eager to further develop your skills in improving financial processes through technology.

• Professional proficiency in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
