Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will be part of the dynamic and international Finance team at Suitsupply’s global headquarters in Amsterdam, contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and strategic value of the company’s financial operations. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, month-end close processes, and statutory reporting while ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations. You will collaborate closely with accounting, tax, and business control teams, as well as external advisors, to deliver timely insights and maintain strong financial governance. Your work will play a key role in improving financial processes, supporting business decisions, and strengthening the Financial Control function in a fast-growing global environment.

What you will do:

• Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities, including Fixed Assets, Receivables, Accruals, Tax accounts, Revenue, COGS, and Lease Accounting in accordance with IFRS standards.

• Perform analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and validate financial results to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Prepare statutory financial statements and support external reporting requirements under IFRS and local GAAP where applicable.

• Coordinate external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors, tax specialists, and external advisors.

• Ensure tax compliance, including corporate income tax and VAT, and support related reporting and filing obligations.

• Execute monthly consolidation procedures and manage intercompany eliminations to maintain accurate group reporting.

• Drive process improvement initiatives, including accounting manual updates, master data optimization, and identifying automation opportunities.

• Support the continued professionalization of the Financial Control function by strengthening processes and financial governance.

• Act as a sparring partner for management, finance colleagues, operational departments, and external auditors on financial matters.

• Contribute to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting initiatives.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Approximately 3–4 years of experience in a similar role or in auditing with a strong background in accounting and financial control.

• Experience preparing financial statements and solid knowledge of external reporting standards such as IFRS and Dutch GAAP.

• Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach and a focus on continuous improvement and quality.

• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data and reporting tools.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams in an international environment.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
