Financial Controller

We are looking for an eager, financial controller who wants join Rituals in their exciting, challenging journey to become - and remain - the number one global luxury brand in cosmetics.

YOU ARE ALL ABOUT

As a Financial Controller of our Corporate Entities you will focus on our Dutch entities without retail activity. The Rituals Trade entity, the Rituals E-commerce entity and the Rituals mother company are part of this group of six entities. You will be working on financial month-end procedures in close collaboration with the accounting assistants who execute most of the journal entries. You will also assist in the preparation of group financial statements, external audits, the tax compliance (e.g. VAT) and many more interesting group topics. You report into the Senior Manager Financial Control Corporate entities. The Financial Control Corporate entities team exist of 4 persons including your manager and yourself.

In this role you will be in close contact with head office staff while doing the analytical review of the P&L and balance sheet, investigating variances and validating the numbers. It is your responsibility to deep dive into variances and ad hoc issues as your input is being used in the monthly and quarterly reporting.

THIS IS YOU

High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humour. In addition, you are an ambitious, eager and talented financial. You thrive in a corporate, international setting and you are a team player. On top of this, you have:

• At least 2 years of work experience as a financial controller or as an (external) auditor.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Eligible to work in The Netherlands (working permit).
• A HBO/WO degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Grounded, approachable personality.
• Critical yet constructive and positive approach.

You will spend most of your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.
