Role Overview
The Financial Analyst role supports wider Vendor Management team in ensuring value and quality delivery for Refinitiv/ LSEG from key strategic vendors, Managed Service providers & other technology service providers through effective engagement and consistent processes.
The role ensures all technology vendors that are supported by the team, provide invoices regularly & accurately, and aligned with agreed contracts and clauses thereof, project plans and work orders. The role is accountable for the end to end billing process, including PO creation, budget management, reconciliation of all billable charges, dispute management, and the timely payment of invoices. This role will also comply updating all team trackers & any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management from time to time
In addition to this, the person tracks financial metrics that measure the performance of Refinitiv/ LSEG's Engineering service providers against budget and SLA’s. This person will also perform ad-hoc tasks & analysis where necessary or as assigned by management.
Key accountabilities
· Assist Senior members in preparation of MSP annual budget and spend forecast
· Raise, amend and receipting of purchase orders for Tech service providers
· Verify all invoices ensuring charges are valid & relevant to the contract / Work Order
· Dispute and query management for any challenges to invoiced charges
· Detailed review of supporting data provided by the MSP
· Develop summarized service reports from information provided by suppliers
· Track invoices for compliance for timely receipting, to the right Purchase / Work order
· Run / acquire AP transactions / cost reports to track all actual spend against the vendors & study the transactions for any ineligible transactions or anomalies.
· Track actuals vs forecasts to enable accurate run rate reporting & provide reporting on financial performance of the contracted services.
· Maintenance of vendor specific trackers & reporting as scheduled and support any ad-hoc reporting needs
· Responsible for handling variety of Technology Finance activity of one / more of suppliers or assigned contracts.
· Proficient in formulating and interpreting Financial, MIS reports & other statements with a view to inform management of the business operations and potential decision making
· Assist other colleagues in day to day tracking of events both financial & obligatory tasks for effective management of vendor relationship.
· Be an outstanding teammate by backing other members’ activities of the team when necessary
· Identify & chip in to any cost avoidance / cost saving opportunities
· Actively participate in any cross functional projects within & outside the VM function as needed.
