THE POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A professional to support financial reporting, month-end close, and cross-functional financial operations. This role will work closely with the Controller and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong technical competency, including hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, COSMOS (or similar enterprise reporting platforms), and other financial reporting systems. A solid working knowledge of data analysis tools and the ability to extract, manipulate, and present financial data to support decision-making is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

Assist in the month-end close process, including review of balance sheets and P&L for 25+ legal entities.

Perform financial analysis on monthly results, identifying trends, variances, and key business drivers.

Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and analysis.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis against actuals and budgets.

Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools to support business performance tracking.

Support the annual external audit by coordinating audit requests, preparing documentation, and assisting with financial statement note disclosures.

Act as a point of contact for operational accounting inquiries, providing support and resolving issues.

Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal controls, including working knowledge of IFRS 16 (Leases).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business objectives.

Provide support for system integrations, including testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting.

Perform other duties and ad hoc financial analysis as required to support the finance team and business objectives.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or in progress preferred).

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction, or manufacturing industries.

Strong understanding of IFRS.

Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Experience with dashboards/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is an asset.

Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central is an asset.
