About the role:
The Finance Transformation Accountant is an important role within the Finance organisation at Monument Re Group, assuming responsibility for the creation of robust financial reports across a number of entities in order to streamline processes with other regions within the Group. This is a highly operational and tactical role, which will drive the modernisation of the Group Finance function by improving processes and upgrading reporting capabilities. The role will report to the Head of Financial Planning, Analysis and Integrations, while working closely with the wider Group Finance team.
Responsibilities:
• Rationalise and improve budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes
• Prepare recharging files to streamline processes across various Group entities.
• Responsible for reviewing and redesigning Trial Balance reconciliation files, enhancing current processes while creating additional controls across multiple entities.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for finance activities to strengthen the internal control framework.
• Liaise and build relationships with various internal stakeholders within the Group function to align with business goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely production of monthly, quarterly and annual expense reports.
• Ensure compliance of risks and controls, in line with current procedures.
Role Requirements:
• Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE.
• Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills, proactive, be highly organised and adaptable to changing environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with various teams within the Group.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting fundamentals and compliance oriented.
• Proficient experience in accounting software packages e.g., Microsoft Dynamics/Anaplan is advantageous.
