Job Title: Finance SME
Role Description:
The Finance SME (Manager) is responsible for accurate and timely processing of financial data as per defined Finance standard operating procedures, and regulatory expectations. The role supports one or more specialist areas in the Global Finance organization, partnering with in-country and global teams to strengthen the control environment and drive process, data and automation improvements.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Essential
• Chartered Accountant / Postgraduate / MBA (Finance) with 2+ years’ experience, or B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CWA Inter / Engineering with 4+ years in Finance function or operations
• Experience in banking or financial services industry preferred
• Working knowledge of Client systems will be added advantage (e.g. FTP, HUB, REMIND, COGNOS, TREATS, SARACEN)
• Knowledge and experience in supporting one or more Finance sub-functional areas partnering with in country and global teams –
• Controllership & Financial Accounting
• Management Reporting / FP&A
• Regulatory / Liquidity / Financial Reporting
• Reporting Operations
• Product Control
• Global Treasury
• Entity or Line of Business Finance
• Strong Excel skills and experience handling high data volumes
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex matters simply
Good to Have
• Experience with SOX, RCA documentation, SOP maintenance and Business Continuity testing will be an added advantage
• Automation & Data Analytics: Hands-on experience with one or more platforms such as Xceptor, Power Automate, Python, SQL, GitHub, Power BI, MS Access
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across borders and levels
• Experience engaging with external auditors and managing stakeholder expectations under tight timelines
