Job Description
Job description
We are a stealth mode Healthcare AI startup, and currently looking for a Finance Operations Associate/Manager
Who are we
We are a small team obsessed with deep thinking, speed, craftsmanship, and a customer-first approach. Our mission is to build the best care experience in healthcare with a 30-year horizon. The founding team brings deep expertise across medicine, product, operations, and engineering. Collectively, we have built multiple 0-to-1 products and scaled companies from inception to over $1B in valuation, $60M+ ARR, and 100M+ MAU.
We help physicians achieve independence by making it easier to start, operate, and grow their practices. We believe the future of healthcare will not be driven by large, bureaucratic systems, but by empowered individual physicians. By lowering barriers to practice ownership, we enable doctors to deliver better care for everyone.
We are builders, physicians, and operators with decades of combined experience in healthcare and technology—including more than 30 years of hands-on experience running successful independent practices across urgent care centers, surgical centers, and beyond.
Our team has also started and helped shape products used by billions at companies such as Meta, Dropbox, Instagram, Coda, and Nomad.
Traction
• We have strong product-market fit ($4MM ARR in under 14 months), and currently have enough demand in our pipeline to achieve the 2026 goal of $18MM ARR.
• We are profitable and funded by top-tier VCs in the healthcare vertical.
• We are looking for a generalist to work together to scale to hundreds of customers. You'll fit in if you want to take ownership of a product, process, or company from 1 to 100.
You might be a fit if you
• You are a self-starter with an obsessive drive to build great systems and processes.
• You think independently and can take an operational problem from concept to execution.
• You are not afraid of complex or messy workflows and enjoy designing clear, scalable solutions.
You can work through ambiguity and bring structure to unstructured financial operations.
• You are a tinkerer at heart—constantly improving, refining, and automating processes to make them remarkable.
• You are someone people love working with. We want to play long-term games with long-term people.
• You want to build a generational company with a 30-year horizon. We aren’t looking for a quick exit — we want to transform healthcare (or your industry).
Special for this role
• This is a rare opportunity to be the first finance operations hire and build our finance ops function from the ground up.
• If you’ve rolled up your sleeves in accounting operations, billing, AR/AP, cash operations, and financial systems—and want true ownership, not just processing tasks—you’ll thrive here.
• Stand up and own the company’s core finance operations: billing, invoicing, collections, A/R, A/P, cash movement, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Build the financial infrastructure that supports rapid growth: workflows, policies, systems, and automation across the entire back office.
• Create clarity and reliability for the leadership team with accurate financial data, monthly close inputs, reconciliations, and operational reporting.
Work cross-functionally with GTM, product, and operations to ensure smooth billing, prevent errors, and support operational excellence.
• Shape the operational foundation of the company as a core member of the early team.
What You’ve Done
• Owned or built finance operations at a startup, portfolio company, or similarly fast-paced environment (billing, AR/AP, reconciliations, cash ops).
• Gone beyond transactional work, partnering with GTM, product, or ops teams to solve operational problems and keep the business running smoothly.
• Are comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations and coordinating with outsourced providers when needed.
• Implemented or maintained finance systems (ERP, billing tools, expense systems, AP/AR platforms) and improved existing workflows.
Maintained high standards for accuracy, documentation, and operational quality.
• Bonus if you’ve spent time in tech, a startup, or worked on something entrepreneurial, we value people who can operate, not just analyze.
• Extra credit if you’ve touched automation projects, systems integrations, or financial process redesign, but not required.
• Strong modeling skills, your work has informed real decisions, not just spreadsheets.
• Bonus if you’ve spent 1–2 years in tech, a startup, or worked on something entrepreneurial
