The role:

As our founding finance hire, you're joining at a critical moment to build the financial infrastructure that drives our growth. You'll own our core financial operations and partner with leadership to provide the financial clarity and insights that inform decisions. This is hands-on work in building clear, scalable financial systems.

Reporting to the Co-founder/CEO with full autonomy to reshape our financial foundation, you'll transform what's currently fragmented into a unified organization. You'll establish the clarity and controls needed so leadership can focus on growth and the team can focus on building and selling.

As these foundations solidify, your role evolves to building financial models for scenario planning, developing our FP&A capabilities, board-level reporting, and uncovering the financial insights that guide our biggest decisions.

Key ownership areas:

• Run a world-class finance operation. AP/AR, invoicing, subscriptions, multi-currency revenue, payroll coordination, vendor management, treasury, and monthly close. Ensure the numbers are accurate, timely, and board-ready—every month.

• Bring rigor and clarity to our books. Implement strong controls, and build reliable accrual and revenue processes. Make our financials audit-ready and trustworthy as we scale.

• Design and automate scalable systems. Rationalize and optimize our stack (Chargebee, Xero, Ramp, etc.), eliminate manual work, and build workflows that scale so finance becomes a growth enabler, not a bottleneck.

• Own reporting and financial visibility. Produce clear board reporting and KPI dashboards that give leadership a real-time view of company health—revenue, burn, runway, and unit economics.

• Financial planning. Build and maintain our financial model, own budgeting and scenario planning, and help the leadership team think ahead on hiring, investment, and capital allocation.

What you bring:

• Experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment

• Advanced proficiency with accounting/financial management tools (experience with Xero is especially relevant)

• Hands-on multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience, with strong attention to auditability and controls

• Strong Excel skills, able to build and maintain models independently for forecasting and scenario planning

• Proven ability to clean up and strengthen close, AP/AR, invoicing, collections, and vendor management processes

• Systems-minded operator who can rationalize a finance stack and automate workflows to eliminate manual work

• High agency, low ego, and a bias toward clarity—comfortable partnering with leadership on real business questions and board/investor-ready reporting
