Job Description
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity with high visibility in the Software Finance department. The mission of the Software finance department is to empower Software operations through data-driven analysis, agile resource management, and proactive performance monitoring, enabling our partners to execute on key strategic objectives.
This role will be the primary finance lead for a recent acquisition; providing financial support to business leaders in the Sales & Product organization for the following areas:
• Financial Stewardship: Drive accurate forecasting for orders, revenue, gross margins and operating expenses while proactively managing risks and opportunities.
• Commercial Partnership: Advise Sales on deal strategy, provide rigorous pro forma P&L analysis, and refine contract terms to maximize value.
• Operational Excellence: Lead expense management and variance investigations to provide leaders with actionable financial insights.
• Business Integration: Facilitate the seamless transition of acquisition products into the MSI ecosystem, focusing on system automation and 'orderability' workflows.
Required Skills
• 5+ years experience in FP&A or Sales / Product Finance role with 2+ years experience supporting business partners
• Advanced Excel modeling skills. Familiarity with building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company make strategic recommendations
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a formidable attention to detail
• Healthy curiosity to understand all aspects of the business
• Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals
• Elevated pride of ownership in work product
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be additive when and where you can, and support team tasks to help out the company when necessary
Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Basic Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years experience in FP&A or Sales / Product Finance
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
