About the role:
The FP&A Intern will join the FP&A team in providing analytical insight and analysis on Axiom’s financial performance

Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate for the FP&A Intern position at Axiom is someone with strong verbal, written, and analytical skills and is effective in cross-departmental communication. They should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly in using lookups, pivot tables, and nested formulas. Attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines are crucial. Ideally, the candidate will have some understanding of accounting and finance and demonstrate a collaborative spirit by supporting the FP&A team and stepping in when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports the FP&A team through active response and support on key analyses as needed to ensure all requests are handled in a timely manner.

• Gathers relevant data by working with our finance team to inform various analyses.

• Teams with the other Analysts on the FP&A Team to provide clear, concise, and accurate responses to any requests. Acts as back up to the other Analysts as needed.

• Supports efforts to clean up Axiom’s financial performance on a matter-level.

• Prepares financial analysis including RBD, yield, retention, and sales volume analysis based on financial results.

• Communicates and interacts intra-departmentally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT and Finance.

Experience and Skills:

• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, nested formulas; can read previously written formulae) - Intermediate knowledge expected with aptitude for logic / math required to become advanced user

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and research under tight deadlines.

• Accounting & finance understanding is a plus

• Attention to detail
