Finance Data Platform Tech Lead - Assistant Vice President

Role Summary & Role Description:

State Street Corporate Finance IT team is leading a Cloud Transformation Program to modernize and redesign finance technology and process landscape globally, incl. North America, APAC and EMEA regions.

• The ideal candidate will have the necessary technology expertise Databricks with AWS Cloud, with very good communication and leadership skills to independently hands-on manage highly visible and complex projects from start to finish.
• Provide architectural leadership for technology solutions, data architectures, data lakes, cloud and infrastructure initiatives.
• End to end Cloud Data Lake architecture design & implementation including data ingestion, data modeling and data virtualization and data distribution.
• Build efficient data integrations between on-prem/cloud-based systems, for high volume data sources.
• Recommend cloud services and utilities, data governance processes, security standards, and models that will provide architectural guidelines to support the development initiatives.
• Drive strategic and tactical planning and design sessions and conduct whiteboard sessions with business users, technology management, data analysts, data engineers and development teams.
• Administer the overall Cloud Data Strategy and Architecture along with evaluation of infrastructure components and performance.
• Drive decision-making processes to align with business priorities and objectives related to key architecture solutions.
• Hands-on experience in architecture and design of Cloud Data Platforms with special focus on AWS and Databricks.
• Significant experience with Cloud Data Lake technologies and complex data architecture and models.
• Working knowledge of designing architectures for large volume data streams and component services.
• Excellent communication skills and Leadership skills.
• Stakeholder Management among diverse business and corporate functions, technology partners and executive management.
