Our Finance Data Team

Our purpose is to scale Nubank’s financial infrastructure by blending deep product knowledge with cutting-edge data engineering. We sit at the intersection of Finance and Technology, ensuring our regulatory obligations are met with precision while proactively building the "Finance of the Future." Our goal is to eliminate manual toil through automation and leverage AI to make financial insights instantaneous and actionable.

You will be responsible for

• Regulatory Reporting: Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex regulatory reports, ensuring total accuracy and compliance with local central bank and financial authority requirements.

• Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform raw product data into high-integrity financial datasets.

• Process Automation: Identify manual bottlenecks within Finance and develop automated workflows to increase speed and reduce operational risk.

• Product Deep-Dives: Develop a profound understanding of our financial products (Credit Cards, Accounts, Loans) to ensure data reflects the true economic reality of the business.

• AI Implementation: Explore and implement AI solutions to optimize financial reconciliation, anomaly detection, and report generation.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Risk teams to map data sources and ensure financial data integrity across the entire ecosystem.

We are looking for a person who has

• Analytical Power: Strong skills in translating complex financial data into clear business insights.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala. Experience with data orchestration tools and visualization platforms.

• Product Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial products, banking operations, and how they flow into financial statements.

• Regulatory Experience: Familiarity with financial regulations and the rigor required for statutory reporting is a plus.

• Automation Mindset: Proven experience in automating repetitive tasks and a passion for using AI tools to drive efficiency.

• Communication: Excellent ability to bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and non-technical finance stakeholders.

• Language: Advanced English; Spanish is a beneficial addition.

Work Model for this Role
