Reporting to John Crane Subregional Controller to lead the finance support provided to John Crane Peru. Working closely with the local senior management to drive business performance, provide high quality financial analysis and the presentation of financial information to support decision. Managing the local finance team and working with Subregional Controller to ensure accurate and high-quality accounting and compliance.
Business Partnering:
• Preparation of annual budgets and provision of forecasts throughout the year
• Monthly review of actuals vs budgets/forecasts
• Manage the Balance Sheet Review process ensuring its adequacy
• Manage the business’ cash conversion, support credit control and sales team in reducing Aged Debtors
• Monitor revenue and order book with the Sales team
• Provide business partnering services to local senior leadership including margin/stock/productivity analysis
Accounting and Reporting
• Manage the monthly accounting journals for revenue recognition, rebates, inventory and LTR (long term receivables) contracts
• Have oversight of the accounting undertaken by the local finance team (meeting monthly controls and check list tasks)
• Support Capex applications and the local management of fixed assets (asset verifications, impairment reviews etc.)
• Submit the monthly reporting files to John Crane in company online submittal tool and the additional half-year and full-year reporting in Onyx for parent Smiths plc and manage mismatch items within
• Lead and co-ordinate local Annual Statutory Accounts, Tax Returns with the support from the local finance team and external third-party consultants such as Deloitte, BDO, or legal advisors.
Compliance
• Management of relationship with local third-party regulatory bodies (banks, auditors, tax authorities etc.)
• Management of the JC Peru Control Environment in respect to minimum month-end controls and Smiths ICE controls
• Management of the JC Peru Delegation of Authority
• Coordination and management of Internal and External Audits procedures
• Finance approval for example, but not limited to:  payments, indirect tax returns, warranties, credit notes and credit limit changes
• Minimum Ten years accounting or controlling experience
•   Fluent in English – spoken and written
•   Demonstrable people management/leadership experience.
•   Deadline and Team focused.
•   Strong IT skills, including advanced level Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Poer BI) MS Office.
•   Strong analytical skills 
•   Desire and attitude to learn and develop will be key to the success of this role.
• Habilities such as Planning and Decision Making, Impact and Scope, Internal and External Relationships will be valuable for the role.
