In this context, Thales marks its presence by the creation of local entities meant for acting as local contractors and system integrators or meant for acting as offshore vehicles supporting Thales Operational Units initiatives for exporting their solutions to customers in these Regions. 

Regional business activities are driven by a dynamic demand characterized by sharp competition and growing customers’ requirements in terms of quality, systems products and services sophistication, delivery time and prices, industrial cooperation and financing schemes. Customers, in the private and public sectors, are very diversified and include ministries, municipalities, operators in the transport, oil & gas, airport, airlines, civil works domains, etc.

Business activities are conducted through the local presence of dedicated organizations (representative offices, branches, subsidiaries and JVs).

The Job Holder will address the activities of all these organizations. The Job Holder will be a key element in the implementation of the New World NG project, and as such, will contribute to the evolution of the Thales Group organization as well as of its way of working, in line with Ambition 10, in order to take into consideration the evolutions of its environment, new laws & regulations and the best ethical and governance practices.

Working in close contact with various stakeholders in the Regional Company environment, the Job Holder will be in charge of the monthly reporting activities of the RC (monthly result analysis, Magnitude & Anaplan reports). In that respect, the Job Holder organizes monthly closing reviews with the Finance Director and the Chief Accountant.

The Job Holder will insure a close monitoring of the RC revenue (quarterly invoicing, bonus & support invoicing, various recharges)

The Job Holder is the interlocutor of Corporate for all analysis, questions they may have

The Job Holder will be the main contributor to the budget building and the budgetary control activities. He/She will  play an active role in the elaboration of the three-year plan (Multi-Year Budget (MYB)) with all stakeholders involved such as delegations in countries, regional CFOs, head quarter in Paris and finance team. He/She will ensure the coordination and will challenge each stakeholder.

The JobHolder will have to manage and train a small team, mainly VIE.

The Job Holder will assist the CFO in the preparation of semestrial review (so-called Business Operating Review (BOR)) by performing various analyses. The Job Holder will manage the action plans if any in coordination with the team and the stakeholders.

The Job Holder will also to manage transversal activities as :

- Participating in digital transformation of the finance department through transversal projects, such as Anaplan or Power BI.

- Improving financial tools (monthly reporting, follow-up files, accounting processes…).

- Assisting the CFO and the team in external or internal audit processes.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• The Job Holder shall have a minimum of 3/4 years professional experience in finance/business control or audit in an international environment.
• He/She shall have a perfect level of English language and at least a good practice of Spanish language.
• He/She shall be autonomous, meticulous, self-confident, teamwork capable, well organized and have an interest for the Regions’ cultures, traditions and way of life.
• The Job Holder shall also be proficient with the use of software tools (Anaplan, Magnitude, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
