What Your Day Will Look Like

As a Finance Controller at Beyond Sports, you’ll play a critical role in managing the full spectrum of our financial operations and reporting. Your responsibilities will span from strategic oversight to hands-on execution:

• Operational Excellence: Overseeing accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

• Verifying Revenue: Collaborating with project management to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

• Financial Accuracy: Maintaining accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and depreciation; performing bank reconciliations and payment processes.

• The Bridge to Sony: Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, providing the detailed analysis required for Sony Group reporting.

• Compliance & Audit: Ensuring month-end close and annual filings are completed accurately and on time; liaising with external personnel for statutory filings, tax compliance, and audits.

• Business Partnering: Supporting other business departments (HR, Operations, Business Development) as a proactive finance partner.

• Continuous Improvement: Contributing to process optimization and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy across the organization.

Tech Stack and Skill Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.

• Qualifications: You are a Qualified RA or AA, or you have the equivalent level of professional experience (e.g., 5+ years in a similar role).

• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel and hands-on experience with Exact Online is highly preferred.

• Standards: Understanding of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting standards.

• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English.

• Location: This role is based on-site at our Alkmaar office (32–40 hours per week). You’ll need to be living in the Netherlands and eligible to work in the EU. No sponsorship is being offered for the moment at Beyond Sports.
