The Senior Commercial Analyst/Finance Business Partner is responsible for assisting ACAP to pursue its goals in commercially viable ways. This is achieved through the preparation of detailed analysis and reporting at both the product and business level. The role supports the SCFM in achieving strategic and operational objectives through timely collection, analysis and distribution of key data and is the key facilitator for analytical operational reporting.

Key Result Areas (Areas of Accountability and Responsibility
Budgeting, monitoring and reporting
Provides timely and accurate financial and business reports by:
• • Preparing and reporting of monthly financial results, variance analysis and commentary in accordance with monthly deadlines;
• Preparing Annual Budgets and Rolling Plans in accordance with the corporate planning process;
• Planning, monitoring and reporting Capex and project expenditure.
• Assist with determining annual targets, yearly pricing revisions, and agent commission structures.
Data analysis and review
Provides insight into the performance of ACAP operations by:
• • Developing financial modelling and scenario analysis;
• Performing profitability analysis of existing products;
• Providing insights into proposed new product integrations;
• Performing analysis of key general ledger line items and suggesting improvements for streamlining / reducing cost areas;
• Performing analysis of delivery costs and ensuring coding is reconciled and updated regularly to maintain data and reporting integrity;
• Collecting, compiling, analysing and summarising data from various sources and performing variance and trend analysis;
• Working with the BU Management teams to analyse and interpret key data;
• Drafting and preparing standard and ad hoc data analysis reports, including commentary and insights;
• Developing quality dashboards and analytical tools, as required;
• Providing support, advice and guidance to managers to ensure the reporting systems and processes provide accurate, timely and reliable information;
• Providing other analytical/project assistance as required on ad-hoc basis
Strategy and valuation
Prepare financial assessment for business cases by:
• • Preparing financial feasibility assessments for business cases;
• Reviewing business cases for accuracy and completeness;
• Translating business cases into financial performance targets;
Finance Systems Management
Contributes to ensuring financial systems data integrity by:
• • Performing accurate financial data uploads to EPM, HFM and Navigate;
• Ensuring Navigate processes are updated regularly;
• Maintaining appropriate manual and computerised records and systems;
• Assist with user training for systems users of finance related systems and processes including Oracle, Navigate, PO processing etc.;
Financial Administration
Ensures continuous effective financial administration by:
• • Assisting with FEE-HELP administration, processing and receipting during peak enrolment periods;
• Assisting with the administration of fee remissions in Navigate;
• Assisting with management of the shared finance inbox during peak enrolment periods;
• Preparation of paid enrolment reporting on a daily basis prior to commencement of each trimester;
• Assisting with handling of student fee queries and follow up of unpaid accounts.
Compliance
• • Monitoring compliance with Navitas Delegation of Authority policy;
• Reviewing and monitoring financial related policies are complied with.
• Ensuring privacy regulations are understood and implemented;
• Ensuring client records and personal information are stored securely according to the Division’s privacy policy;
• Cooperating with other Navitas staff and external agencies in a way that ensures Navitas complies with privacy regulations.

Essential
• • Degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting with appropriate professional recognition (i.e. CPA, CA, or equivalent);
• High proficiency in using Microsoft suite of desktop business applications including Microsoft Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint, experience with Power BI is highly desirable
• ERP proficiency (Oracle EPM, HFM)
• At least 3 years’ experience in a position requiring similar essential skills and experience;
• Demonstrated ability to develop analytical tools and financial models that identify trends that are occurring in the business and in its markets;
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and communicate its meaning effectively to management;
• Ability to work independently and utilise a high level of initiative as well as participate as a finance team member and offer assistance to other team members during peak periods;
• High numerical reasoning capability and analytical skills, able to work through highly complex data sets.
