The Role
The Finance Business Partner (International Markets) plays a pivotal role in Walter & Wild’s strategic and operational success. You will help drive the growth of our international footprint currently focused on the UK and Australian markets. As these markets represent a significant growth area for Walter & Wild, your work will directly inform decision making at the highest level.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will also partner closely with the CEO and CFO, ensuring our leaders have the visibility and insights needed to steer performance and unlock new opportunities.
Responsibilities
Produce accurate, timely reporting that explains business performance
Analyse financial results and commercial drivers to support decision making
Assess new product development, go to market financials, and broader commercial strategies
Develop robust forecasts and provide clear variance insights
Track and accrue costs to maintain full P&L visibility
Monitor and optimise trade spend through effective tracking, reporting and analysis
Engage regularly with UK and Australian teams, including early morning or late evening meetings to accommodate time zone differences
Contribute to cross functional projects across the group as a senior leader and trusted business advisor
About You
You’re a proactive independent self-starter who spots opportunities, challenges thinking, and continuously lifts performance. Commercially sharp with strong analytical instincts, you know how to deep dive into detail, extract insights and influence decisions in fast paced FMCG environments.
You will bring:
5+ years of accounting, management and commercial experience at a senior level
Strong commercial, financial acumen and knowledge with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, ideally with a CA/CPA (or equivalent)
FMCG or retail sales experience
Advanced MS Excel skills & financial systems expertise (budgeting, forecasting tools, and advanced analytics tools)
Proven influencing skills and a results driven mindset
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage cross-functional and cross-country interfaces
