What you’ll do

As part of the Milan Finance team, the Finance Assistant plays a vital role providing accurate and timely support to the finance function and wider business. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, client billing, intercompany transactions, and month-end reporting. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. This role requires lots of proactivity, to have a passion for growing and learning in the role and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core Financial Operations & Billing Management:

Managing accounts payable (vendor/staff inquiries, payment processing), handling client and intercompany billing (invoicing, credit notes, revenue adjustments, portal uploads), and supporting system setup for new clients, vendors, and inter-office agreements.

• Financial Reporting & Reconciliation Support:

Assisting with month-end closing processes, performing intercompany reconciliations (including resolving discrepancies), and ensuring accurate revenue recognition documentation.

• Compliance, Data Management & Administrative Support:

Assisting statutory reports preparation (e.g., ISTAT, annual statutory, Transfer Pricing, ODV), managing essential financial documentation (payroll, timesheets, travel expenses), handling certified email (PEC) communications, coordinating mandatory training records, and providing support for all internal, external, and client audits.

What you’ll need

• Proactive & Organized Approach: Demonstrates strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, consistently taking initiative and acting proactively to address challenges and drive results, while maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Effective Communication & Collaboration: Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing (especially in English), to provide outstanding service to all internal and external stakeholders, and to contribute positively within a team environment.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for efficient task execution.
