Job Overview
We're seeking a skilled Figma Designer to collaborate closely with our product and development teams. You'll create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and design systems in Figma for our flagship web app. This part-time role is perfect for someone who thrives in an agile environment, values user-centric design, and enjoys iterating on collaborative features.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
Design responsive UI elements and components that align with our brand guidelines, ensuring accessibility and usability best practices.
Maintain and evolve our design system in Figma, including reusable components, styles, and assets, to ensure consistent handoffs to developers.
Conduct user research sessions, create user flows, and iterate on designs based on feedback and testing.
Prepare design specs, annotations, and assets for seamless developer handoff, including interactive prototypes for usability reviews.
Participate in sprint planning, design critiques, and retrospectives to drive iterative improvements.
Stay updated on design trends and tools to enhance our Figma workflows.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with deep expertise in Figma (advanced prototyping, auto-layout, variants, and plugins).
Strong portfolio showcasing Figma projects, including wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
Proficiency in design principles, including typography, color theory, layout (e.g., Flexbox/Grid in design context), and user experience fundamentals.
Experience with collaborative design processes, such as sharing Figma files for real-time feedback and version control.
Familiarity with tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Illustrator as complements to Figma.
Excellent communication skills; comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams and presenting design rationale.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Experience with design systems tools like Figma's libraries or Zeroheight for documentation.
Exposure to user testing tools (e.g., UsabilityHub or Maze) and agile methodologies.
Bonus: Prior work in SaaS or collaborative tools; understanding of motion design with Figma plugins.
