We are growing and looking for a hands-on, all-around Field Technology Specialist who enjoys solving real-world technology problems and wants to expand into design, programming, and advanced IT work over time.
The Role
This position is ideal for an AV or Low Voltage technician who wants to grow into broader IT and systems work.
You will travel throughout the DFW metroplex visiting client sites to troubleshoot, repair, install, and improve technology systems. Every day is different — restaurants, offices, retail, and hospitality venues.
You’ll be the person who shows up, figures it out, and fixes it.
What You’ll Do
On-Site Troubleshooting & Support
You will diagnose and resolve issues involving:
• Internet and network outages
• Wi-Fi and wireless performance issues
• POS systems (Toast and similar platforms)
• Audio systems and TVs
• Conference rooms and collaboration systems
• Security cameras and NVRs
• Laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals
• Cabling and physical infrastructure
Installation & Implementation
• Run, terminate, test, and label Cat6 cabling
• Install access points, switches, routers, and firewalls
• Install TVs, speakers, AV equipment, and racks
• Deploy new restaurant and office technology setups
• Assist with new location openings and remodels
Client Experience
• Provide friendly, professional on-site support
• Clearly explain issues and solutions to non-technical users
• Represent the company confidently at client locations

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience running and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
• Comfortable using tools, ladders, and working in ceilings
• Experience with basic networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and professionalism with clients
Nice-to-Have Experience
Not required — we can teach these:
• Ubiquiti / UniFi networking
• POS platforms (Toast, Square, etc.)
• Audio/video systems and distributed audio
• Camera systems and NVRs
• Rack builds and structured cabling projects
• Basic scripting or programming interest
• IT certifications or AV certifications
