Field Technician (Avocado Sampler)

Eurofins New Zealand provides range of class leading food, water, plant, soil and  fertilizer testing, as well as horticultural services, auditing and technical solutions, primarily to the New Zealand market. With a staff of over 350 we operate laboratories in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin, Taupo, Hastings, Queenstown, and Invercargill. We specialise in all Food types, Plants, Soils, Fertilizers, Potable Water, Sludge, Soil & Sediments, Leachate, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Surface Water, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater. 

We have a Field Technician vacancy for the upcoming avocado sampling season running from May - August 2026. 

Key objectives of the role:

• Carry out avocado sampling as per standard operating procedures a various orchards throughout Northland. 
• Sampling is completed in a timely manner to ensure external clients’ requirements are met / exceeded.
• Significant driving is required at times.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and hazard-free work environment.
• Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time. 

The will be 1-3 days of sampling per week depending on sample volume requested ( 8 - 24 hours per week)

No qualifications required but you will need to be physically fit for the sampling and driving. Previous sampling experience would be advantageous 

NZ FULL driver license is a must.

All training and vehicle provided for the role.
