Location: Candidates should be based near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $32–$38 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to lead installation crews specializing in stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal structures. This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining strict safety standards on active job sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field and can effectively coordinate crews, materials, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Leadership & Coordination
• Oversee and direct installation crews working on stairs, railings, and related metal structures
• Coordinate daily site activities with the General Contractor and other trades
• Plan and organize labor, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity
Installation & Layout
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate layout and installation
• Verify that all work meets project specifications and quality standards
Safety & Compliance
• Act as the on-site safety lead, ensuring adherence to PPE requirements and job site safety plans
• Conduct and document toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices
• Confirm crew certifications and compliance with all safety regulations
Reporting & Equipment Oversight
• Complete daily reports, including field activity logs and vehicle inspections
• Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles to ensure proper working condition
Qualifications:
Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in miscellaneous metals or structural steel installation (preferred)
• Prior experience leading crews or working in a supervisory capacity strongly preferred
Technical Skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and safety documentation
• Strong math skills, including working with measurements, angles, and degrees
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards
• Experience with welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
• Current welding certifications or ability to successfully complete a weld test
