Job Summary
Reporting directly to Infinity General Contracting’s Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day coordination, supervision, and quality control of field crews and subcontractors across multiple worksites. This role ensures work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to IGC/client specifications. The Field Supervisor is a key liaison between the worksites and office, providing accurate field reporting, resolving constraints, and driving continuous improvement.
The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision, and values of the Infinity General Contracting, as well as adherence to all established and amended Policies and Procedures.
This full-time hourly, permanent position is based on forty (40) hours weekly. Additional hours or shift schedule changes may be required to meet Company and/or Client requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review daily/weekly plans, work packages, permits, and drawings.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Oversee the schedule and manage projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Lead daily toolbox talks, field level hazard assessments (FLHA) and site orientations as needed.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), client worksite rules, IGC policies and procedures and environment requirements.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and materials to ensure the efficient use of resources.
Support cost control, monitor crew utilization, consumables, rental usage and waste reduction.
Support site inspections, incident/near-miss reporting, performance management, and lessons learnt.
Monitor performance, address issues, and provide feedback to team members.
Complete daily logs, labour, equipment and material (LEM’s) forms, equipment hours and progress photos as required.
Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance and training to team members.
Review and valid each team member’s recorded hours for accuracy prior to approval.
Track daily progress and implement recover plans as needed.
Act as the main client contact for all work site matters.

Qualifications
Five (5) years experience in field construction or maintenance (civil, earthworks, facilities, or industrial) is required.
Two (2) years in a lead hand/foreperson/ supervisory role is required.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma ‘GED’ equivalent is required.
Valid Class License (5) Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract is required.
Skid Steer ticket is an asset.
Criminal Record Check is required.
Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test is required.
First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
Ability to work on-call and on a rotating shift that includes holidays, evening/night shift, and weekends. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Demonstrable knowledge of occupational hazards, signage, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and applicable safety precautions as per industry standards.
Ability to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people, using judgement, and tact.
Ability to work collaboratively and productively with co-workers and actively contributes to team activities.
Ability to multi-task, organize work, set priorities, and achieve work related objectives and goals.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to understand and execute written and verbal directions.
Must be able to listen attentively and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
