Job Description

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team at CAL-CERT, an Accredited Labs Company.

Our Team of Calibration Technicians are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of calibrating various measuring devices and instruments across multiple fields.

As a Calibration Technician – Field Service, you will work out of our Anaheim, California office to calibrate various equipment across differing fields at customer sites. You will be responsible for performing routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment in the field.

The ideal candidate comes from a mechanical or technical background with exposure to calibration procedures.

Location: On-site and field-based, operating out of our Anaheim, California office. Company paid travel to customer locations across California and throughout the US as needed.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations both in our shop and at customer sites in the field.

• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.

• Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.

• Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.

• Work directly with clients throughout the calibration process from first onsite touch point to completion of project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed.

• Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.

• Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.

• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.

• Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates.

• Travel to customer locations across California and throughout the US as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment.

• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field service travel.

• Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.

• Experience working in a technical or mechanical position.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Good organizational and prioritization skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience.

• Experience working with Manufacturer’s Quality Systems.

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields.

• Technical Degree or Certificate.

• Military PMEL Training.

• Metrology experience.

• Experience with IndySoft.
