The Field Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting TOMRA’s mission by maintaining, repairing, and optimising TOMRA equipment at customer sites. This non‑senior role focuses on rota‑based field work, involving reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machine uptime and strong customer satisfaction. 
RESPONSIBILITIES   
• Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA reverse vending machines. 
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rebuild mechanical and electrical components. 
• Deliver exceptional customer service as the front-line representative of TOMRA. 
• Interface daily with customers, including retailers and shopping centres. 
• Travel extensively, with occasional overnight stays and visits to service hubs or offices (including occasional work outside the UK). 
• Corrective Servicing: Analyse, diagnose, and rectify equipment issues to minimize downtime of RVM installations. 
• Preventative Servicing: Perform scheduled maintenance visits and service installed equipment to ensure optimal performance. 
• Installation & Commissioning: After training, assist in the installation and commissioning of new RVM systems. 
• Reporting: Accurately report service assignments and faults using online tools and/or paper documentation. 
• Documentation: Record work performed and machine status in our ERP system (IFS). 
• As the team grows out shift or weekend work may be required. 
• Ensure that your equipment, spares and van kit is always complete according to inventory list. 
• Look for areas of potential improvement of products and report to local service team. 
• Continuously stay informed and up to date with TOMRA’s RVMs and products. 
• Adhere to Tomra Safe procedures 
• Follow LOTO procedures 
• Strong electro-mechanical skills with the ability to analyze, test, and repair complex systems. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
• Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills. 
• Flexibility to travel and work independently in the field. 
• Full UK driving license required.
