Full-Time | Field & Corporate-Based | Starting Spring 2026
West Penn Energy Services is seeking an experienced Field Safety Advisor to support pipeline construction projects beginning in Spring 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position that requires a strong field presence during peak construction operations, with a transition to corporate office support and off-site training responsibilities during off-peak periods.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on pipeline safety experience, strong field leadership skills, and the ability to deliver effective safety training ranging from one-on-one coaching to group sessions of up to 35 employees. Experience contributing to safety policy development and continuous improvement initiatives is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily safety oversight on active pipeline construction projects during peak operations
Maintain a consistent field presence to monitor compliance and reinforce safe work practices
Conduct daily toolbox talks, JSAs, and pre-task safety briefings
Perform site inspections, hazard identification, and field safety audits
Maintain accurate safety documentation, training records, and incident reports
Assist with incident investigations and development of corrective actions
Deliver safety training and presentations to individuals and groups of up to 35 employees
Collaborate closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field leadership
Support the development, review, and updating of safety policies and procedures
During off-peak operations, support corporate safety functions and conduct off-site or classroom-based training from the Shelocta office
Qualifications
Prior pipeline safety experience required
Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
Proven ability to lead safety training for groups of up to 35 employees
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred; First Aid/CPR a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, HSE, or related field preferred
Ability to work in outdoor, field-based environments for extended periods
Ability to commute to the Shelocta, PA corporate office when not assigned to project sites
