đź“‹ The Role
Odyssea is looking for two (2) Field Officers to act as the primary points of contact within the respective sites of Drama and Thiva.
The role involves supporting beneficiaries in accessing job opportunities and ensuring a seamless flow of information and reporting to Odyssea’s central Employability team. Each officer will be responsible for their assigned location:
1. Field Officer – Drama Site
Location: Drama (Camp)
Residency: Based in Drama.
2. Field Officer – Thiva Site
Location: Thiva (Camp)
Residency: Based in Thiva or Athens (with travel to the site).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Engagement & Support
Collaborate with beneficiaries to identify and record needs, following the guidance of the Employability Manager.
Promote participation in the site's activities and sessions.
Act as Odyssea’s representative within the facility.
Collect and input data into the internal management system.
2. Individual Beneficiary Support
Organize and conduct one-to-one sessions for needs assessment, CV creation, and ongoing guidance.
Facilitate access to employment by assisting with job applications and cover letters, focusing on fostering learning and autonomy.
Provide interview preparation and coaching where necessary.
Conduct holistic initial assessments and develop individual action plans in line with the employability team’s guidelines.
Coordinate outreach activities and schedule appointments.
3. Data Management & Administration
Record and monitor all provided services within Odyssea’s tracking system.
Ensure the consistency and accuracy of all collected information.
Support the distribution of informational materials regarding access to services.
4. Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with the Employability team to ensure the smooth execution of activities.
Support communication with employers and scout for local job opportunities in coordination with Talent Acquisition Specialists.
Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding guidelines and professional boundaries.
Requirements
Fluency in English: Ability to conduct sessions, draft professional CVs, and handle daily communication exclusively in English.
Labor Market Familiarity: Practical experience in CV writing and coaching candidates for job interviews.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience managing databases or CRM systems.
Communication & Outreach Skills: Proven ability to engage with communities, build trust, and network effectively with local employers.
Intercultural Competence: Experience or high comfort level working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on respect and empathy.
Driving License & Vehicle: Possession of a valid driving license and access to a private car for commuting/field needs.Â

Prior experience working in NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy firms.

Recruitment Process:
1st Interview: With the Project Manager & Employability Team Leader.
2nd Interview: With the COO & HR Generalist.
