High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Pass a background check , No person to person Felony’s
Pass a drug test
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
Diligent attention to safety
PPE to include: Bump cap /Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves , High Vis vest and Safety Toe boots.
All persons contracted or hired to perform job functions (other than commercial driving) for United Rentals must be at least eighteen (18) years old as of the date of hire or contracting.
Working Conditions
Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts.
Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment to test operation
Frequent lifting up to 45 lbs.
Exposure to bright light, extreme temperature, loud noise, dust, gas, or fumes
Work in unprotected weather elements
Ability to wear hearing protection as required
Ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
Other duties assigned as needed
Key Responsibilities
Traveling to client sites to perform work. ( with United Employee in United Truck)
Installation and Setup: They Install new equipment, configure hardware and software, and ensure systems are properly set up according to specifications.
Maintenance and Repair: They perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, and replace faulty parts.
Troubleshooting: Technicians are skilled at identifying and resolving technical issues, often needing to diagnose problems remotely or on-site.
Customer Service: They interact with clients, providing technical support, explaining equipment usage, and addressing their concerns.
Documentation: Technicians document their work, including installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures, often using company databases.
Inventory Management: They may be responsible for managing parts and equipment inventory.
Compliance: They ensure all work adheres to relevant regulations and safety standards.
This position is 7AM to 3:30PM.
