About the role:

The Field Engineer ensures the reliable operation of automated logistics systems through hands-on technical support directly on the shop floor at the Sevenum site. The role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, corrective technical interventions, and safe execution of technical measures in line with defined standards and procedures. Working closely with the technical control center and shift management, the role supports fast incident resolution and operational stability. Success is reflected in reduced downtime, compliant execution, and high technical quality of field interventions. 

About your tasks

 

• Execute advanced troubleshooting and corrective technical interventions directly on automated logistics and conveyor systems. 
• Resolve technical incidents on the shop floor in coordination with the technical control center and shift management. 
• Apply technical standards, maintenance instructions, and SOPs to ensure safe and compliant execution. 
• Support root cause analysis by contributing hands-on technical insights from field activities. 
• Document actions taken and technical findings to ensure transparency and effective shift handovers. 
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Spareparts team, Technical Service, and Operations to minimize operational impact during interventions. 
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and compliant working environment on the shop floor. 

About you:

• Several years of experience in technical engineering, maintenance, or field service within an industrial or automated logistics environment. 
• Proven experience performing hands-on troubleshooting and corrective technical interventions. 
• Ability to work in a shift-based, on-site operational environment. 
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. 
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under time pressure. 
• Structured, safety-focused working style with strong communication and teamwork skills.
