About the Role
We are looking for a Deployment Engineer to aid the successful and reliable deployment of our system on customer sites. This role will start supporting several short term pilot projects, it will then morph into a lead commissioning role for permanent system installation. Fourier engineers work in a hands-on, collaborative environment to solve problems and push progress forward. Qualified candidates should have prior hands-on experience working in an industrial setting helping to ensure customer success.
Roles and responsibilities
• Responsible for end-to-end operational deployment: from transit to customer site to setup and final acceptance testing
• Responsible for planning and alignment with the customer on technical and implementation requirements
• Ensure site conditions are feasible for system requirements and operational success
• Organize, plan, and execute on site preparation
• Meet and exceed customer performance and safety expectations
• Design and prototype tools to help with deployment
• Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate and partner with the Engineering team to collect and analyze data to improve system performance
• High level of problem-solving ability to quickly debug on-site issues
Qualifications
Required:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical, or Equipment Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in deployment and/or technical program management
• Great communicator and execution ability in high pressure situations
• Comfort working in heavy industry sites
• Willingness to frequently travel to customer sites, including 50–70% travel within the United States and occasional travel to India.
Preferred:
• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Experience in the following areas:
• Hands-on work with gas and/or water piping
• Analyzing energy systems
• Working with hydrogen or similar gasses
• Experience with troubleshooting Linux based control systems.
