Field Application Engineer

About the Role

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at FuriosaAI, you will act as a technical bridge between our customers and the internal engineering teams, providing in-depth support for hardware and software issues. You will assist customers in resolving technical challenges related to our AI processors, focusing on Linux and PCIe based NPU Device systems. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, adapt proactively, and contribute to the success of cutting-edge AI technologies.

The FAE role involves close interaction with global customers, requiring effective communication in English and a willingness to travel internationally. Candidates with experience in fabless semiconductor companies or server manufacturers (ODM/OEM), particularly in test engineering roles, are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in AI hardware and software systems.

• Provide technical guidance on integrating FuriosaAI's AI processors into customers' systems, including support for PCIe and Linux environments.

• Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Facilitate feedback from customers to improve product quality and user experience.

• Deliver technical training and support to customers during and after product deployment.

• Participate in technical meetings, trade shows, and other events to represent FuriosaAI's solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Basic understanding of computer architecture and electronic systems.

• Knowledge of Linux and PCIe fundamentals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to gather and clarify customer requirements.

• Proactive attitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies.

• English proficiency for effective communication with global customers and teams.

• Willingness to travel internationally for customer support.

• Basic programming skills (Python, C, or C++).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working as an FAE in a fabless semiconductor company or as a test engineer in a server manufacturing environment (ODM/OEM).

• Hands-on experience with debugging hardware issues and working with PCIe devices.

• Familiarity with server architecture and system-level testing.

• Knowledge of AI or machine learning frameworks is a plus.
